Tsunami swimmers had an incredible 2024 North District 13&O Championship meet on February 23rd – 25th!  Out of 9 teams in the district, the boys finished 3rd, the girls finished 4th, and overall Tsunami finished in 3rd place!  FIVE new team records were set (3 individual and 2 relay)!  There were 2 age group cuts, 2 senior champ cuts, and so many personal bests that more ribbons had to be ordered.  Awesome job!!

Tsunami had an outstanding meet at the North District 9-12 Championship that was held February 16th – 18th at the Prince William County Schools Aquatics Center in Manassas! Out of 9 teams competing, the girls finished 4th overall and the boys finished 2nd overall! Two new relay team records were set, 19 age group times were made, and a huge number of personal bests were set! Congratulations to everyone for having such a fantastic meet!

This competition was an incredibly fun to watch with lots of close and exciting finishes! A few parents might have been a bit horse by the time it was all done.

The 2024 North District 8 & Under Championships were held February 10th and 11th at the Brooks Family YMCA in Charlottesville. Tsunami had two swimmers competing, Caleb Desmet and Everly Jenkins, who both dropped time in two of their events, set new personal bests in their third event, and earned ribbons in each of their three events! The points they earned for Tsunami will be combined with the team points earned at the 9-12 District Champs and count towards the championship team awards. Well done Caleb and Everly!
