Meet Results

Tsunami swimmers are proud to represent their team throughout the Commonwealth and around the country in competition with Virginia Swimming and USA Swimming.

Occoquan Swimming held their 2024 Speedo Spring Splash on May 3rd through 5th at the Freedom Aquatic & Fitness Center in Manassas. Competition was tough against teams from Potomac Valley Swimming, including Nations Capital Swim Club and Occoquan Swimming, who both came with a ton of swimmers. Tsunami did well overall with several swimmers setting personal bests!

Congratulations to Luke Mersiovsky and Tripp Wile for finishing in the top 10 of their events!

Luke Mersiovsky:

  • 200 Free, 1st place
  • 100 Free, 6th place

Tripp Wile:

  • 100 Free, 4th place
  • 50 Back, 3rd place
  • 100 Back, 2nd place
  • 200 IM, 8th place


The first long course meet of the 2024 season kicked off at Jeff Rouse Swim & Sport Center with the 2024 Helen Wang Sunflower Classic on April 26th through 28th.  Tsunami was well represented with 20 swimmers competing across all age groups, of which about 8 were swimming in their first long course heats!  All swimmers turned in some great times (with lots of time improvements!) against some tough competition!

Congratulations to Tripp Wile for setting a new team record in the Boys 11-12 200 Back with a time of 2:43.51!  The previous team record was set way back in 2013!!

The 2024 Earth Day 10&U Rumble was held April 13 at the PWCS Aquatics Center in Manassas. Tsunami had 8 swimmers competing against the Potomac Marlins from the Potomac Valley Swimming LSC. Tsunami did great with a number of first place finishes and lots more in the top ten!


Congratulations to Kyleigh Tiberio and Maddie Gordon for qualifying and competing in the 2024 Virginia Swimming SC Senior Champs!  The meet was held February 29th through March 3rd at Swim RVA in Richmond.  In order to qualify, Kyleigh and Maddie had to make qualifying times in each of their events.  They then had to compete against other qualifying swimmers from across Virginia.  Both ladies did great against some tough competition!

  • 200 IM
  • 50 Free
  • 100 Back
  • 200 Free

Kyleigh Tiberio:

  • 100 Fly
  • 200 IM
  • 50 Free
  • 200 Fly

Tsunami swimmers had an incredible 2024 North District 13&O Championship meet on February 23rd – 25th!  Out of 9 teams in the district, the boys finished 3rd, the girls finished 4th, and overall Tsunami finished in 3rd place!  FIVE new team records were set (3 individual and 2 relay)!  There were 2 age group cuts, 2 senior champ cuts, and so many personal bests that more ribbons had to be ordered.  Awesome job!!

Tsunami had an outstanding meet at the North District 9-12 Championship that was held February 16th – 18th at the Prince William County Schools Aquatics Center in Manassas! Out of 9 teams competing, the girls finished 4th overall and the boys finished 2nd overall! Two new relay team records were set, 19 age group times were made, and a huge number of personal bests were set! Congratulations to everyone for having such a fantastic meet!

This competition was an incredibly fun to watch with lots of close and exciting finishes! A few parents might have been a bit horse by the time it was all done.
