The Tsunami swimmers competed at their first Long Course meet of the season from April 29-May 1 in the Helen Wang Sunflower Classic at the Jeff Rouse Swim and Sport Center in Stafford. Sixteen swimmers competed and ten achieved at least one top-eight finish.
Our swimmers were able to establish many good baselines to start this season. Long Course is more difficult than Short Course since there is no wall at the 25 meter mark, which means that you can't compare the two times. As Coach Pete said, "A swimmer has to produce 15% more energy to get to the equivalent from short course times." Congrats to all of our swimmers as they start the new season!
