Tsunami swimmers are proud to represent their team throughout the Commonwealth and around the country in competition with Virginia Swimming and USA Swimming.
Tsunami swimmers had fantastic results at the STAT Winter Championship held December 1-3, 2017 at the Jeff Rouse Swim and Sport Center. There were a total of 23 first place finishes and 27 swimmers that had at least one finish in the top eight.
Joey Fasana, Allison Masterson, Tyler Tiberio, and Taylor Jean Wynn each had at least one first place finish in a final. Mariana Duarte and Reid Schattgen each had an impressive three first place finishes in finals! Congratulations team! Below are all top eight individual finishes.
Tsunami swimmers had a strong showing at the Senior Circuit #2 held at the Freedom Aquatic Center on November 18 and 19, 2017. Three individual swimmers placed in the top eight in at least one race. Three new team records were set, two by Ciara Graves and one in the 800 Yard Free Relay. Congratulations to everyone who participated!
Thirteen Tsunami swimmers participated in the Bass Turkey Classic on November 18-19, 2017 at the Collegiate School Aquatic Center. Four swimmers came away with top eight finishes. Annie Furrow placed in the top ten in all four of her races! Good job, team. Here are all of the top eight finishes:
Our team had a great showing at the PW Fall Aqua-Fest held November 4-5, 2017 at the Freedom Aquatic & Fitness Center. Congratulations to all!
Over 60% of our swimmers had a top 8 finish, and three team records were broken. Mariana Duarte won each of the individual events she swam while Piper Bourne, Reid Schattgen, Anna Slominski, Tyler Tiberio, and Samuel Valasko placed in the top eight in all of theirs. Tsunami Swimming had 14 swimmers compete at the 2017 Senior Circuit. This meet was held at the Prince George Country Sports and Learning Center on October 21-22.
Our swimmers set four new team records and had two top eight finishes. We are excited to continue competing throughout this season!
Tsunami Swimming kicked off the 2017-2018 season with a great showing at the Great Pumpkin Splash Invitational. Eleven swimmers placed in the top eight during the meet, held on October 14-15 at the Jeff Rouse Swim and Sport Center.
Samuel Valasko placed in the top eight in all four of his races, including second and third place finishs. Annie Furrow also placed in four races, twice finishing in third place. Ciara Graves set a new team record in the 100 IM. Congratulations to them and all of our swimmers on a great opening meet for the season!
