Fredericksburg, VA – Tsunami Swimming's 2015-16 season is off to a big start with some record-breaking swims and big time drops at the 2015 October Pumpkin Plunge, held October 9-11 at the Collegiate School Aquatics Center in Richmond, VA.
Altogether, the 31 swimmers dropped more than 300 seconds over the weekend. High school senior Allison Slominski set two of the four new team records, including a new record in the 100Y freestyle that broke the 12-year-old previous record, which dated back to 2003.

Check out the meet results from Poseidon's Pumpkin Plunge, held at the Collegiate Swimming Aquatic Center in Richmond on October 10-12. The top eight place swimmers and new record or Qualifying times are listed below. It was a huge meet with 924 swimmers, and a fun way to experience competition from some of Virginia's top teams!
Tsunami Swimming is now accepting registrations for reduced-fee swimming lessons, funded by a grant from the USA Swimming Foundation. If your family qualifies for free or reduced-price lunch, you may apply for discounted swimming lessons through our ongoing scholarship program. The mission of Virginia Swimming's Learn-to-Swim program is to raise awareness of the need and to provide the motivation, systems, and tools to waterproof our community so that all children have basic swimming skills and are safe around the water. The grants are awarded to learn-to-swim and water safety programs geared towards young people who otherwise would not have the opportunity to participate in such programs. Make a Splash Local Partner Programs and USA Swimming-registered VSI swim teams are eligible to apply for grant funding.
